There
is no end for education
and also there is no longer a step to learning. Education is the most powerful
weapon which you can use to change the entire world.
During
this pandemic situation and the entire world has been stuck due to lockdown
process all schools, colleges, companies, and other business also stops. So,
that we have a lot of time to improve our skill set and improve our knowledge
without wasting this golden opportunity. Because, we are staying at home and
now we have lot more free times. When I was started think how to improve my IT skills during this lockdown and then I decided to
invest that time to do something productive. And I think one of the most
productive things that you could do is actually to learn a skill set. Because
when this is over and it will be over, it is only a matter of time. The world
will start spinning again. So, what are we going to do something productive?
Because, when things get back to normal, industries have changed, the world has
changed. So are you ready, are you prepared to go after that new opportunity?
After that your graduation complete, you are getting job that you’ve always
wanted. So, that I was planned to make my summer vacation on skillful,
knowledgeable and productivity.
When
I was thinking that how to utilize this summer vacation? And then I got an idea
about skill set. I believe during this summer vacation or during this lockdown,
some of the most valuable skills that I could develop, that I could learn. In these
four criteria:
1. A skill set that has an immediate impact on your life.
2. It doesn’t take you years to learn.
3. You can learn from the comfort of your own home.
4. You could learn at your own pace.
Number
four, you could learn pace, meaning that if you want to binge watch and binge
learn. You could do that or you want to pace yourself, you want to learn it
through a period of time, maybe over a number of days or a number of weeks, in
your spare time, you could do that as well.These
are the four criteria that I should follow in this summer vacation. Number one,
skill set that has an immediate impact on your life, your career and your
business, actually not a skill set that it takes years to see any result, but
something that you could learn right now and you could implement. Something
that’s very practical.
Number
two, it doesn’t take you years to learn, that you don’t need to go back to
college again for four years of education. Instead, you could these skill sets
in months, or sometimes in a matter of weeks.
Number three, you could learn from the comfort of your own home that you don’t need to go to a physical location. You could learn this from your computer or your own phone, just from your own home.
So,
I believe skill sets that meet these four criteria those are very valuable
skill sets to learn. I just always follow this skillsets to make something
productively.
There
are many courses that you can learn. At that time I was looking for IT related
courses which are going to help me on after graduation. I have learned many
things like python programming language,
java programming language, C programming, C++, HTML, CSS and so on. But now in this vacation, we can make our skills as
a practical done and also, we should learn CODING,
DIGITAL MARKETING, CLOUD COMPUTING, CYBER SECURITY, NETWORKING, and so on. We
have a lot of time to do these things. Now you can pick any one of them, don’t
try to go crazy and learn too many.
I
suggest you these five things that should improve your IT skill during this
summer vacation. Because, you can choose any things that you have to improve
your learning skills as well.
1. Coding skills:
Coding
is an expression and problem solving. Every software engineers, developers and
coders they all are in demand after your graduation, they all are already in
demand right now. Work your own projects; I always put that in my way because
it’s the most effective way to improve our coding skills. Do competitive
programming tasks because, this will help with your “algorithm
thinking.” You can learn different programming languages like Python, Java, HTML, CSS, PHP, Java Script,
Swift, Ruby, etc.
2. Digital Marketing skills:
Digital marketing is the use of
the internet, social media, search engines, mobiles devices and other channels
to reach consumer. Digital marketing is a large filed, including attracting
customer via emails, content marketing and so on. These skills also more and
more valuable after you can career on digital marketing. Now a day digital
marketing employers have more valuable after this corona virus end.
3. Closing Skills:
Closing
skills is the ability to close products or services to sell them over the phone
or over the internet through zoom. Those are very valuable skills. With this
crisis, companies are now looking into the whole sales division. And companies
have all these sales people. How could we outsource this? How could we have a
remote sales team instead of a sales team with physical location? How could we
sell our products or services over the phone without a massive overhead? So if
we have the ability to close phone sales, companies are willing to pay you a
hefty commission when you can demonstrate that quality. Closing will be one of
the highest demand professions in the world.
4. Project Management skills:
Project management is the
application of processes, methods, knowledge, skills and experience to achieve
specific project objective. Project management has final deliverables that are
mannered to a finite timescale and budgets. Because of people working remotely,
companies working remotely, companies outsourcing with so many projects going
on that creates a new demand for the project managers. So project managements
are demanded after your graduation, it’s already in demand.
5. Copywriting skills:
One of my favorites, Copywriting
because, every single social media post that you see, every single email, every
single ad, every single landing page they need copywriters. Companies that do
any type of content marketing companies that do any type of advertising they
also need copywriter. Because it’s not just one email, it’s not just one page;
it’s not just one article. In this noisy world, in this marketplace content
marketing is very critical. They will need someone to write their script,
social media post. Any type of companies they will need a skillful copywriter.
Because, it is learnable, it is sustainable and it is doable.
